    • To address the problem of inter-cell interference, the present invention proposes a method for inter-cell interference coordination and a device thereof. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of coordinating radio resource in a base station of wireless communication network, comprising the steps of: S1 determining whether a UE is of interference risk; if the UE is of interference risk, then S2 determining key interference source base station(s) of the UE; S3, scheduling radio resource in collaboration with the key interference source base station(s), so that the key interference source base station(s) idle(s) the radio resource assigned to the UE by the base station. With the method and device provided in the present invention, effective avoidance of inter-cell interference may be achieved, and every cell may fully reuse resource to accomplish reuse gain, while UE backward compatibility may also be supported.

    • One embodiment of the invention provides a mechanism to assist the eNodeB of the second cell, for example macrocell eNodeB or femtocell eNodeB to determine the configuration of ABSs. To be specific, the eNodeB of the first cell sends a request signaling to the eNodeB of the second cell to inform of the requirement for ABSs. The eNodeB of the second cell receives the request signaling from the eNodeB of the first cell, and then it determines the pattern of ABSs and sends the pattern of ABSs in the form of bitmap through a signaling to the eNodeB of the first cell. As the requirement for ABSs is determined by the eNodeB of the first cell on the basis of the number of the UEs and/or the traffic load of the UEs which are near the edge of coverage area of the picocell, it can help the eNodeB of the second cell to determine the configuration of ABSs, i.e. the pattern of ABSs, so that the efficient resource utilization is achieved.

    • The present invention relates to method and apparatus for channel direction information feedback in a heterogeneous system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for radio link monitoring in a user equipment, comprises: estimating downlink radio link quality; comparing the estimated downlink radio link quality with at least an out-of-sync enhanced physical downlink control channel-EPDCCH threshold which denotes a radio link quality level corresponding to a predetermined block error rate of a hypothetical EPDCCH transmission; determining that the radio link is at an out-of-sync status based on at least comparison between the estimated downlink radio link quality and the out-of sync EPDCCH threshold; comparing the estimated downlink radio link quality with at least an in-sync EPDCCH threshold which denotes a radio link quality level corresponding to a predetermined block error rate of the hypothetical EPDCCH transmission; determining that the radio link is at an in-sync status based on at least comparison between the estimated downlink radio link quality and the in-sync EPDCCH threshold; indicating to higher layers the determined status of the radio link. The embodiments of the present invention further relate to corresponding user equipment and computer program product.
