摘要： The method includes carburization hardening (T1, T2) during which the steel is heated to an austenitic range in a carburizing atmosphere. The steel is then quenched to form martensite. This is followed by hardening (T3) during which the steel is heated to an austenitic range in an atmosphere containing a carburizing gas and ammonia gas. Finally the steel is again quenched.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of machining manhours of an abrasion resistance ring cast and wrapped in a head part of an aluminum alloy made piston after piston casting and improve adhesion to aluminum. SOLUTION: A buried member 6 to be an abrasion resistance ring is hard metal powder (molded body) made by sintering, etc., aluminum particulates and hard particulates, an outer peripheral groove 4 is previously formed by molding at the time of sintering treatment and machining after sintering, and the buried member 6 is stored in a metal mold by fitting it in a reversal groove shape part 8 provided on these formed outer peripheral groove 4 side metal molds 7A, 7B. Additionally, a larger proportion of aluminum particulates are allotted to a surface layer part 6a making contact with a piston base material to be a molded article after casing and a larger proportion of hard particulates are allotted to a surface layer part 6b on the side of the outer peripheral groove 4 on the buried member 6. Consequently, the buried member 6 simultaneously performs improvement of adhesion with the piston base material and reduction of the number of machining manhours after casting.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat radiation efficiency for frictional heat generated by a clutch disc by forming at least a part of a surface into a rough surface, in which a pressure plate is not frictionally engaged with a clutch disc in the friction clutch. SOLUTION: A friction clutch for a vehicle allows, when its clutch pedal is not depressed, its pressure plate 1, a clutch disc 10 and a flywheel 9 to be frictionally engaged with one another by letting the clutch disc be pressed against the flywheel 9 side by the pressure plate 1 owing to the spring force of a diaphragm spring 6, so that engine torque is thereby transmitted to the driven side through the clutch disc 10 and a disc plate 2. In this case, the surface at the opposite side of a surface (friction surface) in which the pressure plate 1 is slid with the clutch disc 10, is formed roughly into an embossing shape so as to be formed into a rough surface enlarged in surface area. A heat radiation efficiency for frictional heat is thus made high by making the aforesaid surface rough, and the heat capacity of the pressure plate 1 is thereby made small.

摘要： PURPOSE:To attain the reduction in stages and energy and to attain the reduction in the cost in the production of many kinds in small quantities by heating the desired part to a tempering temp. for forming a high toughness part on a high strength steel, holding it to the temp. for certain time and thereafter executing cooling. CONSTITUTION:For example, a high toughness part 10b (hatched part) is formed on the inside of the tooth 10a of a gear 10 of eutectoid carbon to secure its toughness and to prevent the chipping of the tooth, and furthermore, the hardness of the surface layer part 10 is maintained to secure its wear resistance. For this purpose, in a liq. having the boiling poing higher than the tempering temp., e.g. in oil, electrodes 11 and 12 having a cross-sectional shape same as that of the hatched part 10b are abutted on both edge faces of the gear 10, and D.C. electric current is flowed. Thus, the application of tempering treatment to the place other than the high toughness part 10b can be prevented. By flowing the electric current to the place to form the high toughness part 10b, it is heated to the tempering temp. of the Al transformation point or below, and it is held to the same temp. for several second to several tens seconds and is thereafter cooled in a liq.

Both edge parts of the ring-shaped plate are joined to produce the ring shaped friction plate.

CONSTITUTION:An electrical resistance welded steel pipe is made to four step shape by drawing, and a spline 2 is formed on the outer periphery of a small, diameter part. By using a mandrel and a spline forming die, ironing is executed. The gear 6 cuts SCr420 material and the butting electrical resistance welding is executed by pressurizing the gear to the shaft direction of the hollow shaft. In comparison with the ordinary method, this method can be rationalized from 55% to 85% of the product yield, about 20% of the lightening and about 1/2 of the material cost.
