摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a luminescent substance, comprising a specified polymer compound containing silicon, capable of radiating a visible light by irradiating the laser beam having a wavelength of an ultraviolet or near-ultraviolet region and useful for a phototransducer, a recording medium capable of recording information by a laser beam and reading the record by photoluminescence thereof. SOLUTION: This luminescent substance comprises a polymer compound containing silicon and having a repeating structural unit represented by formula I (R and R are each H or a lower hydrocarbon group; R and R are each an aromatic group or a lower hydrocarbon group and at least one and preferably both of R and R are aromatic groups) or formula II (R and R are each a lower hydrocarbon group or an aromatic group and at least one and preferably both of R and R are aromatic groups) in the main chain of the polymer compound. This polymer compound is obtained, for example, by ring- opening polymerization of a cyclic compound represented by formula III [(n) is 2-4 and especially 2] or formula IV [(n) is 2-8 and especially 3 or 4].

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a flocculation between ultrafine particles and thereby improve the concentration of the ultrafine particles by laminating plural polysilmethylene films containing metallic ultrafine particles selected from gold, platinum, palladium, copper and silver, dispersed in the surface part of the film. SOLUTION: An ultrafine particle layer of a metal selected from gold, platinum, palladium, copper and silver is formed on a disilacyclobutane film, which is, in turn, heated at a temperature below the melt point of polysilylmethylene to be imparted by disilacyclobutane to form a polysilylmethylene film containing metallic ultrafine particles dispersed in the surface part of the film. In addition, a second disilacyclobutane film is formed on the polysilylmethylene film and an ultrafine particle layer of a metal selected from gold, platinum, palladium, copper and silver is formed. After that, the disilacyclobutane film is heated at a temperature below the melt point of the polysilylmethylene to form a second polysilylmethylene film containing the metallic ultrafine particles dispersed in the surface part of the film.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect UV-laser light easily by employing a specific polymer compound containing silicon as a detection means. SOLUTION: A polymer compound containing silicon containing a repetitive structural unit shown by formula I or II in the main chain is employed as a detection means. In the formula I, R and R may be identical or not and they are hydrogen or lower fatty group. R and R may be identical or not and they are aromatic group or lower fatty group where at least one of them is an aromatic group. In the formula II, R and R may be identical or not and they are aromatic group or lower fatty group where at least one of them is an aromatic group. When the detecting means is irradiated with a UV-laser light, a blue light is emitted intensively from the irradiated part. Consequently, a UV-laser light of invisible wavelength can be recognized easily. The emission can be observed for 4-10sec.
