摘要： The instant disclosure is directed to a thermoplastic vulcanizate composition comprising a dynamically-cured rubber; from about 20 to about 300 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin per 100 parts by weight rubber and from about 30 to about 250 parts by weight additional oil per 100 parts by weight rubber; wherein the rubber comprises a multimodal polymer composition cured with a curing agent, the multimodal polymer composition comprising 45 to 75 wt% of a first polymer fraction and 25 to 55 wt% of a second polymer fraction, each comprising ethylene, a C 3 -C 10 alpha-olefin, and a non-conjugated diene, wherein the polymer fractions have been polymerized using a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system, wherein the first polymer fraction has a Mooney viscosity of greater than or equal to about 150 ML(1+4@125°C), and the second polymer fraction has a Mooney viscosity of about 20 ML to about 120 ML; and about 10 phr to about 50 phr of an extender oil. A method of producing the thermoplastic vulcanizate is also disclosed.

The lubricating oil composition can include at least one propylene-based polymer comprising 60 wt% to 98 wt% propylene derived units, other units derived from one or more other alpha olefins, and a base oil. The propylene-based polymer can have a triad tacticity of 90% or more, a heat of fusion of less than 80 J/g, and a weight average molecular weight (Mw) as measured by GPC of from 70,000 to 250,000.

摘要： Non-coordinating anions or anion precursors are disclosed. These non-coordinating anions serve as the activator for olefin polymerization catalyst systems. As such, they abstract an alkyl leaving group from a metallocene catalyst precursor leaving an activated catalyst charge balanced by a non-coordinating anion. These anions are formed by 3 or 4 partially fluorinated naphthyl ligands coordinated around boron (or other Group-13 element) creating corresponding tris-borane or tetrakis-borate complexes.

摘要： The invention relates to a continuous polymerization process for preparing a random ethylene interpolymer with propylene and/or 1-butene which comprises: (A) polymerizing ethylene, and as an α-olefin comonomer propylene and/or 1-butene under continuous random polymerization conditions in the presence of single site catalyst system employing an ionic activator having cyclic ligands shielding a central charge bearing atom, at a temperature of 140° C to 250° C at a conversion of ethylene of 80 to 99% and a comonomer conversion of from at least 30 % and (B) devolatilizing the polymer to provide an ethylene copolymer having a density of from 0.85 to 0.92 g/cm 3 , an MI of from 0.01 to 100 g/10 min, preferably from 0.1 to 20, and I 21 /I 2 of from 30 to 400. The invention also relates to polymers made such processes containing as α-olefin comonomer propylene and/or 1-butene, having density of from 0.85 to 0.92 g/cm 3 , an MI of from 0.01 to 100 g/10 min and an I 21 /I 2 of from 30 to 400 obtained by solution polymerization using a transition metal complex as a catalyst and a non-coordinating anion to provide a level of NCA derived residue, as determined by boron content, less than 0.5ppm. as determined by ICP, preferably undetectable by ICP. The polymers may be blended with EP rubber elastomers and be used for electrical cable insulation.

More specifically, this invention is directed to polymers of the ethylene, alpha-olefin, diene terpolymer type that are reactor blends of two components, an amorphous major component and semicrystalline minor component, wherein the viscosity of the major component is less than one fourth the viscosity of minor component. These polymers are particularly suitable for elastomeric membranes such as roofing membranes.

摘要： Ethylene, alpha-olefin, vinyl norbornene thermoplastic elastomers containing elastomeric polymers provide superior cure levels to thermoplastic elastomers containing ethylene, alpha-olefin, diene monomer elastomeric polymers with other dienes than vinyl norbornene. The elastomeric polymers, along with a thermoplastic, curative, and other components will have cure levels in excess of 95 percent. Lower diene incorporation into the polymer combined with lower curative levels yield a fabricated article with improved resistance to compression set and improved heat aging.

摘要： Disclosed herein are various processes, including but not limited to a continuous process for making an elastomer composition having a Mooney Viscosity (ML (1+4) @ 125 °C) of from 16 to 180, the composition including a first polymer and a second polymer, the process comprising: polymerizing a first monomer system that includes propylene and one or both of ethylene and propylene in a solvent using a first catalyst system in a first polymerization zone to provide a first polymer, having 60 wt% or more units derived from propylene, including isotactically-arranged propylene-derived sequences and further having a heat of fusion less than 45 J/g or a melting point less than 105 °C or both and a Mooney Viscosity (ML (1+4) @ 125 °C) of from I to 45; polymerizing a second monomer system that includes ethylene or an alpha-olefin, or both, in a solvent using a second catalyst system in a second polymerization zone to provide a second polymer which is an elastomeric polymer that is either non-crystalline or has ethylene-derived crystallinity; combining the first polymer and the second polymer in a mixture that includes solvent and unreacted monomer; and removing solvent from the mixture to provide an elastomer composition that having a Mooney Viscosity (ML (1+4) @ 125 °C) of from 16 to 180.

摘要： The present invention provides curable and cured propylene-based elastomers, optionally including a diene, and having isotactic polypropylene crystallinity, a melting point by DSC equal to or less than 110°C, and a heat of fusion of from 5 J/g to 50 J/g. The present invention also provides blend compositions comprising any of the propylene-based elastomers described herein. The present invention also provides compositions comprising any of the propylene-based elastomers described herein and 1 to 100 parts by weight of inorganic filler per 100 parts of polymer. The present invention also provides films, fibers, non-wovens, molded objects, and extruded forms which include any of the inventive compositions described herein.
