摘要： A method for measuring energy use in an enterprise comprising a plurality of installations and one or more control systems for process monitoring and control. Each said installation comprises in turn a plurality of devices and energy-related information for each said device is stored in a said control system. A client application requests energy information about any said device from a server of a said control system and the information is retrieved by means of an object oriented control system comprising a software object with an energy member containing one or more predefined interfaces adapted for retrieval of information for an energy parameter. A system, a graphic user interface and computer software means for carrying out the methods are described. Energy measures such as energy consumption may be displayed at the same time as energy measures for energy availability, emissions, safety, energy costs so providing a technical overview of the energy context.
