摘要： The present disclosure relates subsea unit (1). The subsea unit (1) comprises an external housing (3), a passive pressure compensator (5) arranged to reduce a pressure difference between ambient subsea pressure and pressure inside the external housing (3), a dielectric liquid (7) for counteracting deformation of the external housing (3), an electronic device (9), and an electrical insulator (11) which is thermally conductive and arranged between an internal surface (3a) of the external housing (3) and the electronic device (9). The electronic device (9) is in thermal and electrical connection with the electrical insulator (11), and the electrical insulator (11) is arranged to transfer heat from the electronic device (9) to the external housing (3).

In other aspects of the invention are disclosed: a subsea distribution bus including the temporary load device; a method; and a computer program for carrying out the method.

The switching device comprises a current sink (2)and at least one mechanical switch (1) in the switching device (3) are arranged in a circuit. The current sink is arranged, upon receipt of a signal, to close and sink the current, and the at least one mechanical switch (1) is arranged to open and break the current on receipt of a signal to open supplied to the electric machine (10) when the current load is at or close to zero.In other aspects of the invention a method and a computer program for carrying out the method are described.
