    • The present invention relates to a ground fault detection system for a generator (1 ) in a power system, wherein the generator comprises at least one electrical circuit (10, 10'). The ground fault detection system comprises a first signal injection unit (8) configured to inject a first test signal (t 1 ) at a first frequency (f 1 ) into the electrical circuit (10), a first measuring unit (7) configured to measure electrical quantities (U 1 , I 1 ) in the electrical circuit resulting from the first test signal, a first processing unit (9) configured to receive said measured electrical quantities resulting from the first test signal and calculate a first electrical parameter (Z 1 ) based on the measured electrical quantities in order to determine if there is a ground fault, a second signal injection unit (8') configured to inject a second test signal (t 2 ) at a second frequency (f 2 ) into the electrical circuit (10'), a second measuring unit (7') configured to measure electrical quantities (U 2 , I 2 ) in the electrical circuit resulting from the second test signal, and a second processing unit (9') configured to receive said measured electrical quantities resulting (U 2 , I 2 ) from the second test signal and calculate a second electrical parameter (Z 2 ) based on the measured electrical quantities in order to determine if there is a ground fault. The invention is characterized by the first processing unit further configured to send the first calculated electrical parameter to the second processing unit, the second processing unit configured, upon receiving the first calculated electrical parameter sent by the first processing unit, to compare the first calculated electrical parameter and the second calculated electrical parameter to determine if there is a ground fault, and if the deviation exceeds a selected criterion an alarm ( Alarm 1 ) may arise, equally, the second processing unit further configured to send the second calculated electrical parameter to the first processing unit, and the first processing unit configured, upon receiving the second calculated electrical parameter sent by the second processing unit, to compare the first calculated electrical parameter and the second calculated electrical parameter to determine whether there is a ground fault, and if the deviation exceeds a selected criterion an alarm ( Alarm 2 ) may arise.

    • The present invention provides a method for detecting or enriching for a target deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) present in a nucleic acid sample, said method comprising: (a) fragmenting a nucleic acid sample to generate nucleic acid fragments including a target fragment containing said target DNA; (b) rendering said fragments, including said target fragment, at least partially single-stranded, wherein the single- stranded portion includes an end portion and wherein the length of said single- stranded portion is sufficient to allow hybridisation of at least part of the single- stranded portion of said target fragment to the probe of step (c); (c) contacting the at least partially single-stranded fragments of step (b) with oligonucleotides A and B of a single target-specific nucleic acid probe, wherein: (i) oligonucleotide A is a single- stranded oligonucleotide comprising at one end a first target-specific part comprising at least 10 nucleotides complementary in sequence to at least part of said single- stranded portion of said target fragment, and comprising at the other end a second non-target-specific part which comprises a nucleotide sequence complementary to at least a portion, including one end, of oligonucleotide B of the probe, and (ii) oligonucleotide B is a single-stranded oligonucleotide which may contain or carry at least one element for detection and/or enrichment of said target fragment, and of which at least a portion, including one end, is complementary in sequence to the second non-target-specific part of oligonucleotide A, such that said target fragment becomes annealed to said probe through hybridisation to the first target-specific part of oligonucleotide A resulting in only one target-specific probe-binding event per target fragment; (d) ligating oligonucleotide B of said probe to the part of the single- stranded portion of said target fragment which is hybridised to oligonucleotide A of said probe to produce a probe-target fragment hybrid; and (e) detecting or enriching for said probe-target fragment hybrid.
