摘要： The present invention provides in one aspect a light device having a light guide. The light guide (20) has at least one major side defining a light extraction side (26). The light device further has at least one fibrous layer (30), typically a non-woven or woven fibrous layer, disposed on the major side of said light guide defining said light extraction side. At the light extraction side, the light device has a plurality of discrete bonding areas (40) at which the at least one fibrous layer is bonded to the major side of said light guide. In a particular aspect, the bonding areas define light extraction elements on the light extraction side. Such an arrangement typically provides for an easy, reliable and cost-effective light device useful for a variety of applications including, for example, illuminating the interior of a vehicle

The workspace is on a moving surface that moves the workspace between a dispensing position under the dispenser, a leveling position under the leveler, and a printing position, under the printer.

摘要： Metal bond abrasive articles and methods of making metal bond abrasive articles via a focused beam are disclosed. In an aspect, a metal bond abrasive article includes a metallic binder material having abrasive particles retained therein, where the abrasive particles have at least one coating disposed thereon. The coating includes a metal, a metal oxide, a metal carbide, a metal nitride, a metalloid, or combinations thereof, and the at least one coating has an average thickness of 0.5 micrometers or greater. The metal bond abrasive article includes a number of layers directly bonded to each other. Metal bond abrasive articles prepared by the method can include abrasive articles having arcuate or tortuous cooling channels, abrasive segments, abrasive wheels, and rotary dental tools. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying a metal bond abrasive article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the metal bond abrasive article based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of a metal bond abrasive article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of the metal bond abrasive article.

摘要： Metal bond abrasive dental bur, comprising a tool head, formed by a plurality of solid layers of a metallic binder material having abrasive particles retained therein, the solid layers being directly bonded to each other. The tool head comprises a rotationally symmetric abrading surface portion, a radially outer portion comprising the abrading surface portion, and a radially inner portion. The density of abrasive particles is higher in the radially outer portion than in the radially inner portion. Method of making a metal bond abrasive dental bur, comprising the steps of a) carrying out a subprocess comprising the steps, in this sequence, of: i) depositing a layer of loose powder particles comprising metallic binder particles and abrasive particles; ii) treating a first selected area of the layer of loose powder particles with a focused beam to deposit a first amount of energy per unit area to bond powder particles together to form a solid layer, and treating a second selected area of the layer of loose powder particles with a focused beam to deposit a second amount of energy per unit area to bond powder particles together; b) carrying out step a) a plurality of times to form the metal bond abrasive dental bur from solid layers of the bonded powder particles. The first amount of energy is low enough to not vaporize abrasive particles in the first selected area, and the second amount of energy is high enough to vaporize at least a minimum percentage of the abrasive particles in the second selected area.
