    • A device for detecting the position of an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag is provided to sense the position with a small receiving antenna, by using a higher harmonic signal with a wavelength corresponding to a half of the wavelength of a fundamental wave and thus reducing a gap between antenna elements. A device for detecting the position of an RFID tag(104) capable of writing and reading data without contact is composed of an antenna unit(101) having predetermined directivity and receiving a higher harmonic signal generated from the RFID tag; a control unit(102) for controlling the direction that the antenna unit is oriented; and an output unit(103) outputting the position information corresponding to the correspondent direction and receiving information indicating whether the higher harmonic signal is received from the correspondent direction or not, for each direction that the antenna unit is headed for.
