CONSTITUTION: A composition for a glass fiber mat reinforced thermoplastic sheet comprises 50-60 weight% of polypropylene, 35-40 weight% of glass fiber, 0.1-10 weight% of a crosslinking agent, 0.1-4 weight% of peroxide, and 0.1-4 weight% of an antioxidant. The glass fiber mat reinforced thermoplastic sheet is manufactured by mixing a composition for a glass fiber mat reinforced thermoplastic sheet. The glass fiber for the composition for a glass fiber mat reinforced thermoplastic sheet is that random-directional glass fiber is added to uni-directional glass fiber.

    • PURPOSE: A thermosetting resin composition for a car body shell and its preparation method are provided, to improve the mechanical properties and the surface appearance characteristic by using an unsaturated polyester resin as a base and employing the sheet molding compounding process. CONSTITUTION: The thermosetting resin composition comprises 5-35 wt% of an unsaturated polyester resin; 20-35 wt% of a glass fiber reinforcement; 30-60 wt% of a filler; 1-20 wt% of a low profile agent; 1-20 wt% of a butadiene-based rubber; 0.5-35 wt% of a vinyl-based monomer; 0.01-2 wt% of a curing initiator; 0.1-5 wt% of a releasing agent; 0.05-10 wt% of a thickening agent; and 0.05-5 wt% of at least one common additive selected from the group consisting of a pigment, a heat stabilizer, a UV stabilizer and a polymerization inhibitor. Preferably the unsaturated polyester resin is an iso-type resin, an ortho-type resin, a tere-type resin, a modified bisphenol-based resin, a bisphenol-based resin, a vinyl ester-based resin and their mixtures.
