摘要： PURPOSE: A gear oil composition of hand-operated transmission which is used for lubricating the hand-operated transmission of car and has excellent friction property and durability is provided. CONSTITUTION: A gear oil composition of hand-operated transmission for car comprises: (i) 50-95 wt.% of base oil; (ii) 0.05-2 wt.% of wear-resisting agent; (iii) 0.05-5 wt.% of metallic clean dispersant; (iv) 0.05-5 wt.% of bis succinimide type dispersant; (v) 1-30 wt.% of oligomer having high viscosity; and (vi) 0.05-12 wt.% of other additives, wherein the base oil is a highly refined palm oil having a viscosity of 3-10 centistokes and a viscosity index of 120 or more at a temperature of 100°C.

摘要： PURPOSE: A method for controlling the molecular weight of a viscosity index enhancing agent is provided, to control the molecular weight of α-olefin-based synthetic copolymer used as a viscosity index enhancing agent by swelling and degrading the copolymer by using a base oil. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of adding a degradation reagent selectively to a molecular weight control apparatus with a temperature of 100-350 deg.C with operating it with the screw rotation velocity of 10-50 rpm by adding 2-50 wt% of a base oil for a lubricating oil based on the amount of an α-olefin-based synthetic copolymer, wherein the base oil has a kinetic viscosity of 10-600 cSt at 40 deg.C, an average molecular weight of 200-700(measured by the gel permeation chromatography) and a flash point of 70 deg.C or more. Preferably the degradation reagent is a free electron initiator or a metal catalyst.
