    • PURPOSE: A molecular marker for determining Callosobruchus chinensis-resistant mung beans is provided to improve determination efficiency and to shorten generation interval. CONSTITUTION: A primer pair for determining Callosobruchus chinensis-resistant mung beans contains two bases selected from the group consisting of sequence numbers 1-17. A method for detecting Callosobruchus chinensis-resistant plants comprises a step of analyzing genome DNA of a plant under the presence of the primer pair by RFLP(restriction fragment length polymorphism), RAPD(randomly amplified polymorphic DNA), DAF(DNA amplification fingerprinting), AP-PCR(arbitrarily primed PCR), STS(sequence tagged site), EST(expressed sequence tag), SCAR(sequence characterized amplified regions), ISSR(intersimple sequence repeat amplication), AFLP(amplified fragment length polymorphism), CAPS(cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence) or PCR-SSCP(single-strand conformation polymorphism). A kit for determining Callosobruchus chinensis-resistant mung beans contains the primer pair.
