CONSTITUTION: A safety handrail for construction works comprises columns(1), safety rope connecting hooks, supports(7), connecting brackets(9), moving members(11), diameter expansion rings(13), and tightening protrusions(15). The safety rope connecting hooks connect the columns to each other using safety ropes. The supports are coupled to the bottoms of the columns and coupled to the rear surfaces of handrail mounting units. The connecting brackets are coupled to the columns in a line with the supports. The moving members are arranged between the supports and the connecting brackets and coupled to the connecting brackets. The diameter expansion rings expands the diameters of the moving members. The tightening protrusions are coupled to the outer surfaces of the moving members at uniform intervals.
