    • PURPOSE: To provide a Fe-Ni-Co base Kovar alloy having low thermal expansion capable of improving hot workability and microstructure stability by adding a trace of boron(B) to the alloy. CONSTITUTION: The Fe-Ni-Co base alloy having low thermal expansion contains 28 to 30 wt.% of nickel(Ni), 15.5 to 18.5 wt.% of cobalt(Co), 0.05 to 0.5 wt.% of silicon(Si), 0.1 to 0.5 wt.% of manganese(Mn), and impurities of 0.006 wt.% or less of phosphorus(P), 0.05 wt.% or less of carbon(C), 0.15 wt.% or less of chromium(Cr), 0.10 wt.% or less of aluminum(Al), 0.4 wt.% or less of molybdenum(Mo) and 0.01 wt.% or less of sulfur(S), wherein the Fe-Ni-Co base alloy additionally contains 0.001 to 0.006 wt.% of boron(B).

    • An iron-based bulk amorphous alloy having chrome/molybdenum is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by adding Fe of 60atom percent or above in forming a bulk amorphous alloy. An iron-based bulk amorphous alloy having chrome/molybdenum contains Cr of 4 ± 0.1 atom percent, Mo of 4 ± 0.1 atom percent, Si of 1 ± 0.1 atom percent, Nb of 2 ± 0.1 atom percent, C of 7 ± 0.1 atom percent, B 8 ± 0.1 atom percent, balance of Fe and impurity. In order to obtain Fe-based alloy having optimum Cr/Mo the composition of Cr is adjusted in a range of 3 to 17 percent, and the composition of Mo is adjusted into 1 to 13 percent. When Cr has a composition of 12 atom percent and Mo has a composition of 2 atom percent, the Fe-based alloy achieves optimum mechanical property.

    • An iron-based bulk amorphous alloy having high glass forming ability is provided to easily manufacture a bulk amorphous alloy at a relatively low temperature by adding Fe of 60 atom percent or above in forming a bulk amorphous alloy. An iron-based bulk amorphous alloy having high glass forming ability contains Cr of 12 ± 0.1 atom percent, Mo of 2 ± 0.1 atom percent, Si of 1 ± 0.1 atom percent, Nb of 2 ± 0.1 atom percent, C of 2± 0.1 atom percent, B 2± 0.1 atom percent, P of 6 ± 0.1 atom percent, balance of Fe and impurity. In the alloy based on Fe, the compositions of Cr and Mo are fixed into 12 atom percent and 2 atom percent, respectively, Si and Nb maintain the compositions into 1 atom percent and 2 atom percent, respectively, and total content of C, B and P are controlled in a range of 10 to 21 atom percent.
