    • PURPOSE: A tundish heating apparatus for continuous casting having non-oxidation heat protection function is provided which is capable of economically and simply performing initial heating of the tundish and preheating action required during waiting time of casting. CONSTITUTION: The tundish heating apparatus for continuous casting having non-oxidation heat protection function is characterized in that each of a nitrogen supply duct(20) and a nitrogen discharge duct(21) are installed on the upper part of a tundish cover(3) so that a closed circulation circuit is formed by connecting the nitrogen supply duct(20) and nitrogen discharge duct(21) to any one storage mass of a rotary regenerator(30) equipped with three storage masses(31), nitrogen gas(N) in the closed circuit is circulated by momentum transferred when a small amount of high pressure nitrogen is ejected from a high pressure nitrogen nozzle(23) so that the circulated nitrogen gas is heated by the storage masses(31) equipped at the rotary regenerator(30), combustion air is supplied to the nitrogen supply duct(20) and nitrogen discharge duct(21) using a cutout valve(41) of a combustion air supply pipe(40) installed at one end of the nitrogen discharge duct(21) so that the combustion air is mixed with a fuel ejected from fuel nozzles(20',21') of each of the ducts(20,21) installed at the connection part with the tundish cover, thereby producing combustion flame so as to heat a tundish(1), and combustion flue gas generated during the heating process is exhausted to the outside of the tundish through an exhaust port(24).

CONSTITUTION: In a sealing device which prevents an external air from being flown into molten steel through a coupling part between a ladle collector nozzle adhered onto the lower part of a ladle discharge port(4a) and the tundish shroud nozzle(4) by injecting an inert gas along the inner side surface of a metal case(4c) encircling the outer surface of the upper part of a tundish shroud nozzle(4) injecting molten steel from a ladle of a continuous caster into a tundish, the sealing device for preventing oxidization of molten steel in a continuous caster comprises a porous ceramic paper having a certain thickness which is inserted between the upper part of the tundish shroud nozzle(4) and the lower part of the upper side of the metal case(4c), wherein a composition of the ceramic paper comprises 49.5 wt.% of Al2O3, 49.5 wt.% of SiO2 and 1 wt.% of trace elements.

CONSTITUTION: The agent for promoting discharging of residual materials in a tundish reused during hot rolling (13) comprises 50 to 70 wt.% of ferro silicon, 10 to 20 wt.% of aluminum and 20 to 30 wt.% of iron oxides, wherein the iron oxide is hematite (Fe2O3). In a method for continuous casting molten steel by attaching an immersion nozzle to the tundish after separating an immersion nozzle (12) from a tundish after casting, and discharging the residual molten steel of the tundish, the method for discharging the residual materials in a tundish comprises the step of injecting a 5 to 8 kg of briquette comprising 50 to 70 wt.% of ferro silicon, 10 to 20 wt.% of aluminum and 20 to 30 wt.% of iron oxides per one tone of the residual molten steel before discharging the residual molten steel.

CONSTITUTION: In a submerged entry nozzle(4) for injecting molten steel into mold from tundish in the continuous casting process, the submerged entry nozzle for forming multiple molten steel flows is characterized in that a discharge port(5) is formed at a lower part of the submerged entry nozzle in such a shape that a central part(9) of the lower surface of the discharge port has an upward inclination angle, and a side surface part(10) at left and right sides of the central part of the lower surface of the discharge port has an upward inclination angle steeper than the inclination angle of the central part of the lower surface of the discharge port so that the lower surface of the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle is formed in multistep, wherein the upward angle of the side surface part of the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle is 5 degrees larger than the upward angle of the central part of the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle, wherein the central part of the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle is formed to an upward angle of 5 degrees, and the side surface part formed at both sides of the central part of the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle is formed to an upward angle of 10 degrees, and wherein the discharge port of the submerged entry nozzle is getting widened as it goes from the center to the outer side of the discharge port.
