    • A method for culturing a collagen scaffold is provided to increase the production of collagen by applying periodic stimulus in a vertical direction when culturing a collagen gel, thereby increasing the tensile strength of the scaffold and capable of culturing a surgically operable scaffold. The method for culturing collagen scaffold having high porosity and tensile strength comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a collagen gel containing cells in a culture container made of an elastic material; and (b) applying periodic stimulus to the lower portion of the culture container so as to apply the stimulus to the collagen gel through the elastic material. In the step (b), the frequency of the stimulus is 0.01-500 times/minute and the strength of the stimulus is 1.0 x 10^-7 to 1.0 x 10^-1 N/m^2. The collagen scaffold prepared by the method has the porosity of 0.1-100 micrometers and the tensile strength of 5-200N/cm^2.
