    • A method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol film is provided to obtain a polyvinyl alcohol film having excellent surface uniformity by preventing formation of spots on the surface and realizing excellent dyeing capability and orientability, and to obtain a polarizer film having excellent polarizing characteristics over a large area. A method for producing a polyvinyl alcohol film comprises the steps of: (a) mixing polyvinyl alcohol, water, a plasticizer and a surfactant to provide an aqueous solution; (b) continuously casing the aqueous solution onto the surface of a casting drum(24) rotating at a desired speed and spaced apart from the ejection port of a T-die(21) by a predetermined distance, while sucking the steam discharged from the bottom surface of an ejected film(25) formed by the aqueous film right after the aqueous solution is ejected from the ejection port, by using a steam suction device(23) disposed in a region between the bottom surface of the ejected film opposite to the casting drum with an extension toward the ejection port and the surface of the casting drum; (c) drying the aqueous solution cast molded on the drum to provide a primary polyvinyl alcohol film; and (d) heat treating the primary film.

    • A method for preparing a poly(vinyl alcohol)-based film, a PVA-based film prepared by the method, and a polarizer using the film are provided to prevent the problem due to the tension difference between the both interfaces of casting substrate/plasticizer layer and plasticizer/PVA film, thereby improving the processability without the damage of a PVA-based film. A method for preparing a poly(vinyl alcohol)-based film comprises the steps of dissolving a poly(vinyl alcohol)-based polymer, a plasticizer and a first nonionic surfactant and a second nonionic surfactant whose HLB difference is 3 or more in a solvent to prepare a poly(vinyl alcohol)-based polymer solution; solution casting the prepared poly(vinyl alcohol)-based polymer solution on a casting substrate; and removing the solvent from the obtained one. Preferably the first nonionic surfactant has an HLB of 1-12; and the second nonionic surfactant has an HLB of 8-20.

    • A polyvinyl alcohol film which is manufactured by using a manufacturing method of the polyvinyl alcohol film has no width direction wrinkle and no change of the shape by contraction in the long-term storage, is excellent in extensibility and swelling property, and can achieve optical homogeneity to the width direction and the uniform extension. A unoriented and non-alignment copolyvinylalcohol film is prepared by casting a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution on the surface of a drum through T-die and drying it by using hot air to obtain a film; peeling off the film from the surface of a drum; and drying it by using a plurality of dry rolls(121~128) and heat-treating it. The method of preparing unoriented and non-alignment copolyvinylalcohol film decelerates the speed of the dry roll gradually so that the film is contracted with 0.01~0.4% when the residual moisture rate of film is reduced by 1% in the second drying and thermal process.

A method of preparing fine articles(201) by using a releasing film(301) with a hydrophilic property includes a step of disposing the releasing film between a mold(100) and the fine article. The releasing film is deformed according to a shape formed on a pressing face of the mold and features relative hydrophilicity with regard to the fine article. The fine article and the releasing film have different surface tension of more than 25mN/m. The releasing film is made from polyvinyl alcohol. The mold is made of hydrophobic material.
