    • A system and a method for delivering contents by using user terminals are provided to reduce a cost burden of a CDN(Contents Delivery Network) provider by transmitting the contents to each client with the idle user terminals and network resources without passing an ISP(Internet Service Provider). A CDN provider system(100) stores a terminal information table storing user terminal information including an ID of the contents stored in each user terminal(110), and stores/updates ranking information of each user terminal according to a transfer rate, an available contents list, and a list of the contents previously downloaded to each user terminal. Each user terminal receives the contents from the CDN provider system, stores the received contents, and transmits the contents requested from each client(120) by a block unit. The client receives contents information including the ID of the desired contents to be downloaded from the CDN provider system and the ranking information of the desired contents, maps each block forming the desired contents on each user terminal included in the ranking information based on the ranking information, and downloads the contents by request each mapped user terminal to transfer each block of the desired contents.
