    • A wastewater treatment apparatus for efficiently removing contaminants due to first flush stormwater, a wastewater treatment method using the same, and a wastewater treatment system comprising the wastewater treatment apparatus are provided to reduce the operating cost by controlling the flow rate of wastewater flowing in a biological filter basin, thereby treating the wastewater to an extent observing the target water quality only. A wastewater treatment apparatus comprises at least one filter unit, a biological filter basin(69), and a flow distribution tank(61). The filter unit filters suspended solids contained in wastewater using a floating filter media. The biological filter basin removes dissolved organic matters contained in effluent flown out from the filter unit. The flow distribution tank controls the flow rate of wastewater supplied to the filter unit. The flow distribution tank includes a coagulation part(63) and an inflow pipe(65). The coagulation part increases the size of solids contained in the wastewater using a coagulant and air. The inflow pipe supplies effluent supplied from the coagulation part to the filter unit.

    • A method for preparing a carbon source is provided to obtain the carbon source in an effective and economical manner by using a byproduct comprising high concentration organic materials, e.g., washing water generated from the bio-diesel production process, thereby treating the byproduct and preparing the carbon source at the same time, and a carbon source prepared by the method is provided. A method for preparing carbon source using a byproduct comprises: a step(S1) of removing impurities from a byproduct comprising high concentration organic materials to discharge the impurities; a step(S2) of supplying small amounts of nutrients required for the growth of microorganisms to effluent from which the impurities have been removed; and a step(S3) of adjusting pH of the effluent to which the small amounts of nutrients have been supplied. The impurities are removed by passing the byproduct through a membrane under vortex flow conditions. The byproduct is bio-diesel cleaning water. The nutrients are one or more selected from NH4Cl, KH2PO4, NaHCO3, FeCl3.6H2O, CaCl2.2H2O, KCl, and MgSO4.7H2O. The step of adjusting the pH of the effluent is performed by using an organic acid comprising carbon. The organic material is glycerol.

A wastewater treatment apparatus comprises: an outflow trough(10) having an inner wall(11) over which treated water is flown from a settling basin(1), and an outer wall(12) disposed such that the outer wall is spaced apart from the inner wall; and at least one cover structure(30) formed on the outflow trough to prevent light from reaching treated water in the outflow trough, wherein the cover structure includes: a mounting plate(34) formed on a top part of the inner wall; a cover plate(32) rotatably joined with the mounting plate to open or close the outflow trough; and a first blocking plate(35) formed in a region where the mounting plate and the cover plate are joined with each other to block light passing through an opening between the mounting plate and the cover plate. The cover plate additionally includes a second blocking plate(37) formed in a region where the cover plate and the outer wall are joined with each other to block light passing through an opening between the cover plate and the outer wall. The cover plate additionally includes: a first supporting member(36) joined with the inner wall to support the mounting plate; and a second supporting member(38) joined with the outer wall to support an end portion(32a) located adjacent to the outer wall from the cover plate, the second blocking plate blocking light passing through an opening between the end portion of the cover plate and the second supporting member.
