    • Provided is a method for preparing an extruded styrene foam having a low density, a low thermal conductivity, an excellent heat insulation and satisfactory physical properties. A method comprises the steps of injecting 0.1-5 wt% of a graphite powder, 1-5 wt% of HBCD as a bromine-based flame retardant, and 0.3-4 wt% of a nucleating agent based on the weight of a polystyrene resin into an extruder and melting them at a temperature of 180-240 deg.C; injecting 3-15 wt% of a foaming agent; and extruding the mixture at a temperature of 100-140 deg.C to prepare an extruded styrene foam. Preferably the HBCD is EPS (expanded polystyrene foam) or XPS (extruded polystyrene foam); and the nucleating agent is talc, calcium carbonate or silica.

    • PURPOSE: An asbestos-free gypsum cement plate is provided for avoiding air-pollution due to the asbestos material by utilizing needle-shaped leaf pulp, regenerated pulp and polyacrylone nitrile as the reinforcing materials in the conventional gypsum cement plate to reduce bulk specific gravity thereof. CONSTITUTION: The asbestos-free gypsum cement plate is prepared by blending 1-7% of bleached needle leaf pulp, 1-5% of regenerated pulp and 0.1-5% of polyacrylone nitrile fibers as the reinforcing materials; adding 1-15% of sepiolite, 1-15% of mica and 5-15% of silica stone powders to the reinforcing materials to form the raw mixture; adding to the mixture with water to regulate the solid content of about 20% and blending it for 6 minutes or more to form the slurry type material; again add to the slurry with water to control the solid content to less than 1-15%. Afterward, the resultant material forms a plate of determined thickness by means of annular net type paper machine and is cured firstly at 40-60 deg.C. for 48 hours, then at room temperature for one day. The cured material is dried at 70-80 deg.C. for 80-100 minutes, cut into determined size, is under pressing and then completed after final coating process.
