摘要： PURPOSE: A method for inserting and detecting a watermark by using position information of bit blocks is provided to insert information as a watermark without image quality distortion, and realize a watermark robust to an external attack. CONSTITUTION: A watermark block(110a) into which a watermark is to be inserted is divided into a plurality of bit blocks(120). A pseudo random number expressing watermark information is inserted into the watermark block. The insertion of the pseudo random number is adjusted so that one bit block located in a predetermined position displays a peak value in cross correlation measurement in detecting the watermark. The length of the pseudo random number is the same as the length of the watermark block.
