    • PURPOSE: A double steel tube type composite damping device using visco-elasticity and friction force is provided to improve earthquake-proof reinforcement effect at lower cost. CONSTITUTION: A double steel tube type composite damping device using visco-elasticity and friction force comprises an inner damping body(20), an outer damping body(30), a high damping body(40), upper and lower connection plates, a friction pad(60), a fastener, and a locking pin(70). The inner damping body is composed of square steel pipes having fixed thickness and length. The outer damping body is inserted to the inner damping body and has same shape as but bigger size than the inner damping body. The upper and lower connection plates have one end located in the inner damping body and the other end located in the outer damping body in order to connect the inner and outer damping bodies. The friction pad is located between the upper and lower connection plates and the outer damping body. The fastener is compulsively pushed toward the upper and lower connection plates to connect the inner and outer damping bodies. The locking pin is fixed to the inner damping body through a locking pin assembly holes(20b) formed on the upper and lower connection plates in order to control the movement of the inner and outer damping bodies.

    • PURPOSE: A hybrid vibration control device using visco-elasticity and hysteretic characteristics is provided to improve an earthquake-proof reinforcement effect at low cost, since it is not necessary the installation of a separate vibration control device according to the kind of the mechanical vibration source. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid vibration control device using visco-elasticity and hysteretic characteristics comprises a pair of damper bodies(10a,10b), a plurality of high damping rubbers(20), and a plurality of steel material pins(30). A pair of damper bodies comprises a plurality of side panels(102a,104a,102b,104b) and platform steel panels(106a,106b). The platform steel panel is perpendicularly connected to one end of a plurality of side panels. The high damping rubber is installed between the side panels and is visco-elastically transformed. A plurality of steel material pins performs a function as a steel hysteretic damper and has a plastic hinge part(30a).

The friction pad fastener fixes the friction pad pressure plate to the main side plate and generates the frictional resistance by compulsively pushing the friction pad to the friction plate by using a screwing force.

    • PURPOSE: A cylinder-type complex damping device using visco-elasticity and friction is provided to remove the need for a separate damping device depending on the kind of a vibration source and to enable earthquake-resistant performance to be improved at a reduced cost when an earthquake-resistant work is performed on a building, to which a seismic design is not applied. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder-type complex damping device using visco-elasticity and friction comprises first and second cylinders(20,30), a damping shaft(40), a frictional material(50) and a high-damping rubber. The first and second cylinders have the same hollow cross section and are arranged on a line to face each other at a given interval. One end of the damping shaft is inserted into the first cylinder and the other end is inserted into the second cylinder. The frictional material is fixed into the first cylinder and is compulsorily inserted into the perimeter of one end of the damping shaft. The frictional material generates frictional resistance on a contact area depending on the relative movement to the damping shaft.
