    • PURPOSE: Provided is a novel compound YM410 represented by the formula (i), which has an antifungal activity and an anticancer activity as well. Therefore, the novel compound can be used as an antifungal drug and an anticancer drug. A method for preparing the compound is also provided. CONSTITUTION: A novel compound YM410 represented by the general formula (I) is prepared by the following steps: (a) fermentation and cultivation of Kitasatospora cheerisanesis (KCTC 2395); (b) separation of the cell body and extraction and concentration thereof with methanol, to obtain liquid phase concentrated solution ; (c) elution of the resultant solution by silicagel medium pressure chromatography; (d) concentration of the elution fraction exhibiting strong antifungal activity, concentration of the elution fraction exhibiting an antifungal activity by chromatography, and then purification thereof, to obtain a solid phase sample; (e) dissolving the resultant sample in methanol and addition of ethylacetate thereto to remove the undissolved materials, to obtain a liquid phase sample ; and (f) analyzing the resultant sample by the high pressure chromatography.
