The lifter discharges the water in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the drum by the reaction to the rotation of the drum. The lifter comprises a lift body and scribers(184a,184b). The lift body forms a storage into which the water flows. According to the rotation of the drum, the scriber makes the water stored in the tub flow into the storage.
