    • PURPOSE: An air conditioner for an electric vehicle is provided to improve heating performance or heating efficiency in a cold area with a low outside temperature and to operate heating, cooling and dehumidifying functions in one cycle. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for an electric vehicle includes an air conditioning unit and a control unit. The air conditioning unit includes a compressor (101) for compressing refrigerant, a first indoor heat exchanger (110) and a second indoor heat exchanger (120) which the refrigerant discharged from the compressor flows in, an expansion valve (140) for expanding the refrigerant passing through one of the indoor heat exchangers, an outside heat exchanger (130) which the refrigerant passing through the expansion valve flows in, and a valve unit (160) to control the flow amount of the refrigerant coming in the first and second indoor heat exchangers. The control unit (180) checks the residual amount of a battery (10) and an outside temperature. The control unit controls the valve unit to satisfy the required heating performance and the desired heating efficiency of the air conditioning unit so that the refrigerant flows in one or both of the first and second indoor heat exchangers.

A hot water supply device of a heat pump comprises a heat pump, a water circulator, a heater inundation temperature sensor(140), and a controller(170). The heat pump comprises a compressor, a water cooling each heat exchanger, an expanding balloon(30), an evaporator. The water circulator includes a pump(90) circulating to the water. The water, whose heat is exchanged with the refrigerant at the water cooling each heat exchanger, passes through a hot water supply piping and a heater(100). The heater inundation temperature sensor senses the temperature of the water passing through the heater. The controller detection of the operation condition of the heater when p the heater and a ump operate according to the temperature sensed by the heater inundation temperature sensor.
