    • PURPOSE: A key signal input device of a mobile communication terminal is provided to allow a user to easily input various control commands by recognizing a pressure and a directional change according to user's key manipulation and selecting a user's desired menu or proceeding with a game. CONSTITUTION: A key pad(1) outputs various key signals according to user's key manipulation. A direction and pressure sensing unit(2) outputs a sense signal according to a pressure change due to a manipulation direction or pressing of a manipulation stick(2A). An A/D converter(3) converts an analog sense signal outputted from the direction and pressure sensing unit(2) to a digital signal. A position detector(4) determines a position change or a pressure change of the manipulation stick(2) on the basis of the digital signal and outputs a result to a microprocessor(5). The microprocessor(5) controls playing such as a game or selects a menu on the basis of a signal inputted from the position detector(4).

    • PURPOSE: A device for processing an ultraviolet index in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to prevent damage due to ultraviolet rays by warning a user whether the user is exposed to the ultraviolet and informing the user of ultraviolet strength. CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet detector(220) detects ultraviolet rays included in the sun's rays and outputs a strength signal of the detected ultraviolet rays. An ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)(270) receives an analog ultraviolet strength signal from the ultraviolet detector for converting the analog ultraviolet strength signal into digital ultraviolet strength data. An ultraviolet value database(200) stores the ultraviolet value data according to a degree having a bad influence upon human. An ultraviolet data comparing unit(280) compares digital data of the ADC(270) with predetermined ultraviolet data stored in the ultraviolet value database(200), and outputs the result to a microprocessor(210).
