A refrigerator includes a first storing chamber(71) having a first chilled air supplying element and carrying out defrosting function. A second storing chamber(72) has a second chilled air supply element. First and second controllers(733,734) such as valves or dampers control the connection with first and second storing chambers respectively. An supercooling chamber(73) keeps stuff received therein in the supercooled state.

    • A method and system for defrosting a refrigerator is provided to perform defrost with maintaining super-cooling when temperature of a freezer compartment, a refrigerator compartment, or inside of the refrigerator is raised, and to allow objects in the super-cooling compartment to be under super-cooling condition corresponding to the temperature rise of the compartment. A method and system for defrosting a refrigerator includes a storage compartment(73), components constituting a refrigeration cycle including an evaporator(71) which is providing chilled air to the storage compartment, a super-cooling compartment(76) in the storage compartment which maintains objects in the super-cooling compartment being super-cooled, and a device(762) disposed in the super-cooling compartment for preventing temperature rise in the compartment.

    • A refrigerator is provided to keep foods with freshness for a long time by emitting light to a storing chamber and progressing a non-freezing mode. A refrigerator(100) comprises a storing chamber, a cooling unit such as a freezing cycle(30), a non-freezing operation unit, a heat source generate unit, a light emitting unit(10), and a control unit such as a micro computer(90). The non-freezing operation unit is composed of an electrode unit(50) and a voltage generate unit(40). The electrode unit is formed at the storing chamber. The voltage generate unit applies voltage to the electrode unit. The heat source generate unit increase temperature of the object or the receiving space. The control unit performs the non-freezing mode while progressing a freezing operation mode. The freezing operation mode is one of a keeping mode and a cold shock mode. The object can be aged by the heat source generate unit. The light emitting unit emits light to the storing chamber.
