    • PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to increase MPRT due to no light interference due to the on/off timing difference of light sources without the lowering of brightness. CONSTITUTION: A data driving circuit(12) drives data lines of a liquid crystal display panel(10). A gate driving circuit(13) drives gate lines of the liquid crystal display panel. Light sources(16) generate light to be irradiated to the liquid crystal display panel. A light source control circuit(14) quickly modulates input data according to a display location and controls on/off of the light sources. A timing controller(11) divides one frame period into first and second sub frame periods. The timing controller supplies forged frame data to a data driving circuit during the first and second sub frame periods. The timing controller controls the operation timing of driver circuits by a frame frequency higher than an input frame frequency. A light source driving circuit(15) turns all light sources off during the first sub frame period and turns all light sources off during the second sub frame period.

    • An inverter driving circuit for a liquid crystal display is provided to prevent the low temperature turn on phenomenon of a lamp by checking the temperature of the inverter at initial stage. A temperature sensing part(21) detects the temperature change of the next and drive initial on the main inverter by using thermistor and outputs the adjustment of resistance value signal according to the detected temperature variation. A resistance value setting part(22) sets up the resistance value according to the adjustment of resistance value signal in the initial stage, and lower the resistance value again after the initial stage. A controller(23) outputs the driving control signal the resistance value which is set up in the resistance value setting part to the basis in the inverter output part(24).
