    • PURPOSE: Provided are polyphenylenevinylene(PPV) derivatives substituting fluorine to vinylene, which are very soluble in organic solvents and have high luminescent efficiency, and electroluminescent elements using the PPV derivatives. CONSTITUTION: The PPV derivatives are represented by the formula 1 and 2, wherein R1 is OR4 or H, R2 is H or OCH3, R3 is H or F, R4-R6 are C1-C20 linear or branched alkyl group. The PPV derivatives represented by the formula 1 are poly£para-phenylene(difluoro)vinylene|, poly£2-ethylhexyloxy-5-methoxy-1,4-phenylene(difluoro)vinylene, and etc. and the PPV derivatives represented by the formula 2 are poly£2-phenyl-1,4-phenylene(difluoro)vinylene|, poly£2-phenyl-1,4-phenylene(monofluoro)vinylene|, and etc. And the electroluminescent element contains a polymer luminescent layer formed by the PPV derivatives.
