    • PURPOSE: Methods for mass production of antibiotics using specific concentration of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) and SAM analogues are provided, which S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) is a methyl donor being important for the primary and secondary metabolism in a biomass, so that SAM can stimulate the antibiotic production of a microorganism. CONSTITUTION: The method for mass production of antibiotics pristinamycin comprises adding 50 micromole of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) into a medium for Streptomyces pristinaespiralis(ATCC 25486). The method for mass production of antibiotics granaticin comprises adding 10 micromole of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) into a medium for Streptomyces violaceoruver Tu22. The method for mass production of antibiotics oleandomycin comprises adding 1 micromole of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) into a medium for Streptomyces antibioticus(ATCC 11981). The method for mass production of antibiotics avermectin comprises adding 1 micromole of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) into a medium for Streptomyces avermitilis. The method for mass production of antibiotics actinodin comprises adding 2M of S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM), ATP, ADP or AMP into a medium for Streptomyces coelicolorA3(2)M130.
