    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring a broadband permittivity ratio and a measuring method thereof are provided to accurately measure the permittivity ratio of various materials including a biomaterial without the process of complex signal processing by measuring only a direct current voltage according to the size of a sending and a receiving signal. CONSTITUTION: A probe part(110) contacts with a measure object in a permittivity ratio measurement apparatus(100). An impedance conversion circuit(120) changes the impedance value of the probe part. A frequency signal generator(140) generates a high frequency signal. A directional coupler(130) applies the high frequency signal, which is generated in the frequency signal generator, to the impedance conversion circuit and divides a sending and a receiving signal. A power detector(150) detects two direct current voltages corresponding to each output power from the sending and the receiving signal which is separated from the directional coupler. An analog-digital converter(160) changes the analog signals of two direct current voltages into a digital signal. An arithmetic and logic unit(170) calculates the reflection coefficient of the measure material from the digital signal and measures the permittivity ratio of a measure material.
