    • An indoor location system and method thereof are provided to estimate the delay time of the exact transmission signal by effectively separating the overlapped multi-path signals of the indoor channel. The indoor positioning system(100) comprises the transmitting node(200) and receiving node(300). The transmitting node produces the transmission packet including a plurality of same symbols. The transmitting node comprises the symbol generating unit(210), and the packet generator(220) and wireless communications unit(260). The distance between the receiving node and the transmitting node are measured based on the transfer time of the transmission packet from the transmitting node to the receiving node. The packet generator produces the transmission packet. The receiving node receives the transmission packet transmitted from the transmitting node.
