    • A printing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to delay a printing work initiating time point as much as an interval between printing sheets when sensing that a plurality of printing sheets are simultaneously fed, thereby preventing printing error. A printing apparatus(100) prevents printing error due to double sheet feeding. A double sheet feeding detecting sensor(110) detects the double sheet feeding of printing sheets. A measuring unit(120) measures an interval between double sheet fed printing sheets when detecting the double sheet feeding of the printing sheets by the double sheet feeding detecting sensor. A control unit(130) delays a printing work initiating time point by the last fed printing sheet based on using the estimated interval.
