    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for converting an IP(Internet Protocol) address and a home network system using the same are provided to solve the problem of a transmission load generated in communication between an IPv4(IP version 4) terminal and an IPv6 terminal. An address converting unit(150) mutually converts the second private IP address into the public IP address. A control unit(110) requests the registration of the second terminal to a master server which manages and provides registration information about the second terminal having the public IP address.
