    • Provided are a solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof of which the generating efficiency is improved. The solar cell comprises: a substrate; a back surface electrode layer; a window electrode layer; light absorbing layer; and an insulation layer. The back surface electrode layer is arranged on the substrate and includes a first back surface electrode and a second back surface electrode apart from each other. The window electrode layer is arranged on the back surface electrode layer and includes the first window electrode electrically connected to the second back surface electrode in a contact area defined on the second back surface electrode. The light absorbing layer is arranged between the back surface electrode layer and window electrode layer. The insulation layer partially covers the upper surface of a first part of the second back surface electrode defined in the contact area and an edge of the first back surface electrode direction of the second back surface electrode.
