    • A method for displaying an image on a display panel including a plurality of pixels which are arranged in row and column calculates compensation data which compensates data using a row compensation value and a column compensation value. The row compensation value is calculated based on average brightness of pixels included a pixel row regarding a sampling gradation image in response to the pixel position of the received data. The column compensation value is calculated based on average brightness of pixels included a pixel column regarding the sampling gradation image. If the gradation of the received data is matched with the sampling gradation, a data compensation value is calculated by summing the row and column compensation values of the pixel position between compensation values of the sampling gradation. If the gradation of the received data is not matched with the sampling gradation, a first data compensation value is calculated by summing row and column compensation values of a high first sampling gradation which is similar to the gradation of the received data. In addition, a second data compensation value is calculated by summing row and column compensation values of a low second sampling gradation which is similar to the gradation of the received data. A data compensation value corresponding to the gradation of the received data is calculated using a linear interpolation algorithm of the first and second data compensation values.

    • PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce an error in a process for generating an interpolation frame by providing an interpolated image signal about a dynamic region after dividing a stationary region and the dynamic region. CONSTITUTION: An image signal control part(600-1) receives an image signal of a previous frame and an image signal of a present frame, and provides an image signal of an interpolation frame inserted between the previous frame and the present frame. A stationary region setting part(640) compares an edge region of the previous frame with an edge region of the present frame, and sets the stationary region. An image interpolation part(650) provides an image signal of the interpolation frame. The stationary region of the interpolation frame uses the image signal corresponding to the stationary region.

    • PURPOSE: A stain correcting method of a display panel, an operating method of a display panel including the same, and a display device therefor are provided to improve display quality and to operate the display panel. CONSTITUTION: A stain correcting method of a display panel detects the brightness distribution of the panel (S100). A brightness profile analyzing unit determines the number of overlapped stain brightness profiles by analyzing the brightness distribution (S200). A reference value is set to adjust the number of times performing stain correction according to the number of the profiles (S300). The number of profiles is compared to 0 which is the reference value (S400). If the number of the profiles is bigger than the reference value, a stain is generated on the display panel so that a stain correction setting step (500), a generation step (S600), and a step (S800) of correcting input image data by using a stain correction amount.
