    • PURPOSE: Provided are a novel multi-branched polymer having a block structure/graft structure/star-shaped structure whose polymer structure is three-dimensionally regulated by combining a macroinitiator, a macromonomer and a reactive polymer, which are obtained by introducing functional groups into polyolefin, with polar monomers or their various polymers i.e., polar polymers so that they are polymerized or reacted with one another. CONSTITUTION: The multi-branched polymer as a polymer containing a block structure, a graft structure or a star-shaped structure is represented by the following general formula (I), (P¬1)n-X, wherein n is an integer of 2 or more; P¬1 is a polymer chain having a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of 500 to 1,000,000 selected from a polyolefin chain (A1), a polyolefin chain having polar polymer side chains (A2), a polar polymer chain (A3) and a polar polymer chain having polyolefin side chains (A4); a plurality of P¬1s may be the same or different from one another provided that every P¬1 is not the polar polymer chain (A3); when n is 2, at least one P¬1 is the polar polymer chain having polyolefin side chains (A4); and X is a heteroatom or a heteroatom-containing linking group containing less than 200 atoms in total.

    • PURPOSE: A polyolefin macromonomer, a process for producing the same, a graft polymer obtained from the polyolefin macromonomer, and use thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: The polyolefin macromonomer comprises a polyolefin chain(P), a vinyl group(X) which may be substituted at the alpha-position thereof, and a linking group(Z) for connecting both, represented by the following general formula(I) represented by P-Z-X, wherein P is a polymer chain having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) equal to or more than 1.5, obtained by homopolymerizing or copolymerizing olefins in the presence of a coordination polymerization catalyst containing a transition metal compound, the olefins is represented by CH2=CHR¬1, wherein R¬1 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, provided that Mn is equal to or more than 1000 when P is a homopolymer residue of polypropylene, X is a vinyl group which may be substituted at the alpha-position thereof, represented by -CH(R¬2)=CH2 whereupon R¬2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and Z is an ester group(B1) or a phenylene group(B2) having a group containing a group selected from a carboxylate group, an amide group, an ether group and a carbamate group.
