    • PURPOSE: An organic EL drive circuit and an organic EL display device are provided to reduce a change of luminance on a screen of the organic EL display device caused by a difference of characteristics between current driver ICs and a change of a driver current in current driver IC. CONSTITUTION: An organic EL panel drive circuit(10) includes first and second column driver ICs(11,12). Each of the first and the second column driver ICs includes a reference current generator circuit(1) and a current output circuit(2). The organic EL panel drive circuit further includes a first current mirror circuit(13), a first transistor, and a control circuit. The first current mirror circuit includes an input transistor supplied with a preset drive current and a plurality of output transistors for generating an output current which is distributed to terminal pin corresponding to the organic EL panel. The first transistor is used for generating a first current corresponding to the output current of the output transistor. The control circuit includes an input stage driven by the first current and an arbitrary reference current and an output stage for generating the preset drive current corresponding to a difference between the first current and the arbitrary reference current.

    • PURPOSE: An organic EL(Electro-Luminescence) driving circuit and an organic EL display device using the same are provided to adjust a white balance on a small screen by adjusting brightness of R, G, and B colors. CONSTITUTION: An organic EL(Electro-Luminescence) driving circuit drives an organic EL element by applying an output current on terminal pins of an organic EL display panel. The organic EL driving circuit has a plurality of peak current generating circuit(4G,4B,4R) and a pulse generating circuit(6). The peak current generating circuits are designed to correspond to the terminal nodes so as to generate a peak current corresponding to a predetermined pulse width. The pulse generating circuit generates a predetermined pulse signal with first through third pulses. The first pulse is applied to the peak current generating circuits designed corresponding to a node for an R display color. The second pulse is applied to the peak current generating circuits designed corresponding to a node for an G display color. The third pulse is applied to the peak current generating circuits implemented corresponding to a node for an B display color.

    • PURPOSE: An organic EL panel drive circuit and a propriety test method for drive current of the same are provided to reduce a test time and improve a manufacture of column driver based on analyzing drive currents applied from output pins of a column driver IC to terminal pins. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of first D/A converter circuits(4) are installed corresponding to output pins in order to convert digital display data into first analog currents. A plurality of switch circuits are installed corresponding to the output pins. The switch circuits are adapted to perform an ON/OFF control operation for first analog currents or drive current obtained by passing the first analog currents through output stage current sources(5). A second D/A converter circuit(83) has a least significant bit resolution which is higher than the least significant bit of each of the first D/A converter circuits and generates a second analog current as a reference current by D/A-converting data corresponding to the display data. A comparator circuit(81) is used for comparing the first analog currents with the second analog current or comparing the drive currents obtained by passing the first analog current through the output stage current source with a current obtained by passing the second analog current through the output stage current source. A control circuit is used for turning on the switch circuits, sequentially.
