    • PURPOSE: A method and a system for determining the rice freshness are provided to easily determine the rice freshness since the fatty acid level of the rice is measured at a precise level. CONSTITUTION: A method of determining the rice freshness is as follows. To make a mixed solution, the guaiacol solution and hydrogen peroxide liquid are mixed with the rice or the pH indication solution is mixed with the rice. The light is illuminated onto the mixed solution. The light passing through the mixed solution is measured by a light receiving sensor(110). The color value is calculated from the signal of the light receiving sensor. The fatty acidity level is decided by the comparison of the color value with the reference value. The freshness is derived from the decided fatty acidity level.

CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring milk ingredient comprises: a pump(18) which inhales a certain amount of milk from a milk sample bottle; a flow cell(20) for containing the certain amount of milk; a light source(22) for transmitting the light to the milk; a spectrophotometer(26) which converts the light passed though the milk inside the flow cell; a quality calculation unit(28) which receives converted electric signal and calculates the milk fat content and the number of somatic cells; a monitor(30) which visually displays the result. A method for measuring milk ingredient comprises: a step of collecting milk sample; a step of filling a certain amount of milk sample in a flow cell; a step of irradiating light to the milk; a step of transmitting the light to spectrophotometer; a step of treating to the milk through spectrograph to generate electrical spectrum signal; and a step of calculating the milk fat content and the number of somatic cells.
