    • PURPOSE: A reverse osmosis membrane containing surface reformed nano-carbon materials and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase the convenience of operational processes and to enhance the durability of polymer in a reverse osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION: A reverse osmosis membrane includes an active layer and a supporting layer. Nano-carbon materials, of which surfaces are combined with amine groups, are introduced into the active layer. The supporting layer is based on a porous support. The nano-carbon materials are selected from carbon nano-tubes, graphene, and fullerene. The nano carbon materials are inserted into or applied on the activating layer. The porous support is a polysulfone support. A method for manufacturing the reverse osmosis membrane includes the following: aromatic amine and tertiary amine are dissolved in a polar solvent to obtain a mixed solution; the nano-carbon materials are added into the mixed solution to prepare an immersion solution; the porous support is immersed in the immersion solution to eliminate a remaining solution; the porous support is immersed in an organic solution with dissolved multi-functional acyl halide, and the porous support is dried.
