    • A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery is provided to increase a contact area and binding force between a negative electrode active material and a negative electrode current collector. A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery includes a negative electrode current collector(110), and a negative electrode active material layer(120) placed on at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector. The at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector has a surface roughness(Rz) of 2-7 micron. The negative electrode active material layer includes a negative electrode active material comprising particles selected from the group comprising Si particles, Si compound particles, Si-containing composite particles, Si phase-containing carbon composite particles, Sn particles, Sn compound particles, Sn-containing composite particles, Sn phase-containing carbon composite particles, and combinations thereof.
