    • A process for producing fine porous polyimide particles which comprises: dissolving a polyamic acid containing 0.5 to 80 wt.% alkali metal salt in a good solvent for polyamic acids in a concentration of 0.1 to 15 wt.%; adding the resultant polymer solution to a poor solvent selected from an aliphatic solvent, alicyclic solvent, aromatic solvent, CS2, and mixture of two or more thereof and regulated so as to have a temperature of -20 to 60°C; controlling the temperature of the poor solvent to form fine porous polyamic acid particles which have a particle diameter of 50 to 10,000 nm and have been regulated so as to have a pore diameter of 20 to 500 nm and a porosity of 0.1 to 30% by changing the content or kind of the alkali metal salt; and then subjecting the particles to chemical imidization or thermal imidization or to chemical imidization and subsequent thermal imidization. The fine porous polyimide particles thus produced retain the pore diameter and porosity.

    • A method for preparing a fine inorganic particle−organic microcrystal composite microcrystal which comprises injecting an organic material having a &pgr;−conjugated bond dissolved in a solvent being soluble in water into an aqueous dispersion containing inorganic fine particles having a particle size of 50 nm or less selected from among fine metal particles, fine semiconductor particles, fine inorganic phosphor particles and fine inorganic luminous material particles dispersed therein, to co−precipitate an above inorganic fine particle forming a core and a microcrystal of the above organic material forming a shell, thereby forming a microcrystal shell of the organic material on the surface of the core of the fine inorganic particle having a particle size of 50 nm or less; and a method for preparing a composite microcrystal comprising a fine inorganic particle and a microcrystal of a &pgr;−conjugated polymer which comprises effecting a solid polymerization of the above organic microcrystal.
