摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding method, by which, when butt-welding members having a cross-section varying in wall-thickness by a laser beam, incomplete penetration is not generated by controlling the laser power and the welding speed, and laser beam welding with excellent quality is carried out. SOLUTION: In the laser beam welding method for butt-welding the member having the cross-section varying in wall-thickness, the member is divided along a weld line according to the state and the change of the wall-thickness. In a section where the wall-thickness is small, the laser power is kept to be a designated value and the welding speed is increased so as to obtain the penetration depth that does not cause incomplete penetration. In a section where the wall-thickness changes and in a part where the wall-thickness is large, the welding speed is decreased and the laser power is changed according to the change in the wall-thickness so as to obtain the penetration depth that does not cause incomplete penetration.
