SOLUTION: A back light unit 4 is arranged at the rear side of a liquid crystal display panel 1 with one pair of spacers 2, 3. The back light unit 4 is constituted of a light source 13, a light transmission plate 12 and a frame 11 housing them. The frame 11 supports the light transmission plate 12 from the rear side of it and is provided with a housing part 14 housing the light source 13 at its one side. A processing member 15 is protruded from the housing part 14 to press the light transmission plate 12 from the front side of it. The frame is provided with a side wall part 16 supporting the plate 12 from the side surface side at the counter side of the frame 11. The light transmission plate 12 has a step part 17 in which a plate thickness is partially formed thicker along the counter side and the difference in level of the step part 17 is the same as the plate thickness of the pressing member 15. The spacer 2 of one side is stuck on the pressing member 15 and the spacer 3 of other side is stuck on the step part 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a die, to dissolve waste in material also and to reduce a manufacturing cost by respectively dividing a bezel support fixing a side light and a liquid crystal panel in a peripheral part at every side, mutually fitting these members to each other and constituting it. SOLUTION: A bezel 10A is constituted by combining independent U-shaped sectional four parts (support frames) 11-14 respectively formed by folding back a metallic plate. Then, the support frames 11, 13 are fitted to left/right side surfaces of a laminated body between the side light (surface light source) and the liquid crystal panel adjusting incident light from the side light at every pixel and outputting it. Further, the support frames 12, 14 are fitted to the upper/lower side surfaces of the laminated body so as to respectively cover a part of these support frames 11, 13. At this time, the support frames 12, 14 are fitted in the state where external force is applied to respective U-shaped openings to be opened. In such a manner, by constituting the bezel 10A of four support frames, the die is miniaturized, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.
