    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth the dilution of a solution in the whole cycle in an absorption water cooler-heater by filling the solution in a heat transfer pipe group without making the solution quantity in an upper header excessive at the time of starting, and surely discharging the concentrated solution left in heat transfer pipes at the time of stopping. SOLUTION: This absorption water cooler-heater comprises a circulating type high-temperature regenerator 1, a gas-liquid separator 16, a high-temperature regenerator vapor pipe 15 and a solution bypass pipe 17. The circulating type high-temperature regenerator 1 comprises the upper header 14, a lower header 12, and the heat transfer pipe group 13 provided between the both, and is adapted so that a dilute solution is supplied to the lower header and guided into the heat transfer pipe group 13. The gas-liquid separator 16 is connected to the upper header 14 to separate a refrigerant vapor generated in the heat transfer pipe group 13 from the concentrated solution. The high-temperature regenerator vapor pipe 15 is adapted to guide the refrigerant vapor and the concentrated solution from the upper header 14 to the gas-liquid separator 16. The solution bypass pipe 17 is adapted to connect the upper header 14 to an outlet passage for the solution separated by the gas-liquid separator 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a refrigerant in a high temperature evaporator and cooling water cooled in the high temperature evaporator from being frozen in an absorption refrigerating machine which includes two stages of the evaporators and two stages of the absorbers. SOLUTION: The absorption refrigerating machine 200 includes a low temperature evaporator 1, a low temperature absorber 2, a high temperature evaporator 3, and a high temperature absorber 4. A solution heated and condensed in a high temperature regenerator 7 and a low temperature regenerator 6 is guided to an intermediate temperature solution heat exchanger 9. The solution is heat- exchanged with a solution guided from the low temperature absorber and the high temperature absorber in the intermediate temperature solution heat exchanger, and then part thereof is guided to the side of the low temperature absorber with the remaining part guided to the side of the high temperature absorber. The amount of the solution guided to the side of the low temperature absorber is controlled by a control device 100 using a control valve 45a. When at least any of the refrigerant temperature, heat transfer medium temperature, and cooling water temperature is lowered to a predetermined temperature, the control valve is opened.
