While sliding of the second contact pressure plate 21 in a prescribed direction with respect to the first contact pressure plate 11 is allowed, a force for sliding is transmitted from the second contact pressure plate 21 to the third contact pressure plate 31 so that the third contact pressure plate 31 slides in a prescribed direction with respect to the first contact pressure plate 21 as the allowed sliding occurs. The friction damper includes a rotation restriction mechanism 61 that restricts the third contact pressure plate 31 from rotating about the shaft member as a central axis.
