    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage cabinet and a lock unit which can secure a high degree of security at low cost. SOLUTION: The storage cabinet 1 reads the IC chip data of an IC chip 52 by contacting a plurality of terminals 53, 54 of an electronic key 51, and passes a current through a solenoid 27 when just authority has been authenticated based on the IC chip data. Then the storage cabinet 1 moves an operation shaft 28 from a rotation-prevention position where the rotation of a lever shaft 37 is prevented to a rotation-permission position where the rotation of the lever shaft 37 is permitted. The storage cabinet 1 has a release cam 46 which is arranged in the lever shaft 37 and which undergoes displacement from a lock position to a lock-release position. In the lock position, the release cam 46 is pressed by the electronic key 51 which is inserted in the lever shaft 37, and prevents the rotation of the lever shaft 37.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-attached lock to a door surface of a storage cabinet having the first door and the second door of the double doors which can be retrofitted, and which can open and close a plurality of storage boxes of the storage cabinet by using one key. SOLUTION: The surface-attached lock 1 is attached to the door surface of the storage cabin having the first door 100 and the second door 101 of the double doors, and has a fixation engagement member 2 attached on the surface of the first door 100 and an engagement device 3 attached on the surface of the second door 101. The engagement device 3 includes a drive means, a movable engagement member, a readout means, a memory, and a controller. The movable engagement member is moved to an engagement position or a disengagement position with the fixation engagement member 2 by the drive means, and the readout means reads IC data when a digital key provided with a contact-type IC tag has been attached. The memory stores ID data of the digital key to which unlocking permission has been given. Then, the controller moves the movable engagement member to the disengagement position when the ID data read by the readout means is brought into agreement with the ID data stored by the memory.
