摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the accuracy of a matching process in a stereo matching process. SOLUTION: There are provided: imaging means 1 and 2 for imaging an object; a stereo processing means 5 which performs the stereo matching process for specifying a corresponding region for each small area of a pair of images taken by the imaging means, by obtaining the mutual correlation, and which obtains an evaluation function that is the result of the stereo matching process, distance information to the object obtained on the basis of the evaluation function, and reliability degree information indicating a reliability degree thereof; and a parallax correction means 6 which sets a re-search range around the small area to be the object according to the reliability degree, which obtains the corrected evaluation function by correcting the obtained evaluation function for the small area to be the object, on the basis of the evaluation function obtained for the small area within the re-search range, and which corrects the distance information on the basis of the obtained corrected evaluation function. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the action of a person with accuracy by detecting the motion of a face as a whole, without detecting or tracking a particular portion of a target person. SOLUTION: An image in the periphery of the face of a driver, imaged by a camera 2, is input into an image input unit 10 of a controller 3. A motion detection unit 12 calculates the motion of the whole area set in the periphery of the face of the input image. Based on image motion information and vehicle information, a confirmation action decision unit 14 decides the confirmation action of the driver. According to the decision result, an alarm is output from an output unit 15. By this, the deterioration of detection accuracy occurring when detecting a particular portion is avoided, and also, a camera installation position, which is apt to be restricted to image the particular portion, can be set relatively freely.
