摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest control device capable of moving a headrest to a position where it can cope with a rear-end collision of a vehicle in a short time when the collision is predicted or detected. SOLUTION: The headrest control device is provided with a headrest drive mechanism 30 for moving the headrest forward and backward, a distance detecting means (a headrest sensor 40) for detecting a distance between a head of a seated occupant and the headrest, a collision detecting means (a collision predicting means 43) for detecting or predicting a collision, and a control means 44 for driving the headrest drive mechanism 30 to control the distance between the head of the seated occupant and the headrest. The control means 44 has a first control means 44A for operating the headrest drive mechanism 30 to move the headrest to the predetermined position where it can cope with a rear-end collision of the vehicle on the basis of a detecting signal from the distance detecting means, and a second control means 44B for operating the headrest drive mechanism 30 to move the headrest to a close position closer to the head of the occupant in comparison with the predetermined position. 摘要： A head rest of a vehicle seat may include a head support portion for supporting a head of a passenger, and a drive unit for moving the head support portion. The drive unit has a moving mechanism that is arranged and constructed to move the head support portion toward and away from the passenger head, an actuator for actuating the moving mechanism, a load detecting device that can detect a load applied to the actuator and generate a control signal representative of the detected load, and a controller that can control the actuator so as to control the moving mechanism. The controller controls the moving mechanism so as to move the head support portion toward the passenger head. The controller controls the moving mechanism based on the control signal so as to stop the motion of the head support portion.
