摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a stopper member without using a solenoid by providing a drive transmission means with a delay transmission mechanism which transmits drive force of a diving means to the stopper member, and then transmits the drive force to a preliminary carrying means. SOLUTION: When documents are deeply inserted in the direction of the arrow G, the leading ends of the documents butt against a stopper member 68. When an instruction to send a signal is given on the operation panel of an operating part, a drive motor rotates to rotate and drive a required gear. Consequently an ejecting roller and a carrying roller 17a are rotated in a sheet carrying direction and also a separating roller 16a and a preliminary carrying roller 51 are rotated in the sheet carrying direction with delay caused by a mechanical timer. Thus, while the documents held between the preliminary carrying roller 51 and a preliminary carrying press plate 77, constituting a preliminary carrying part are handled by the preliminary carrying part, they are sent between the separating roller 16a and separating piece constituting a document separating part, where they are separated one by one, and each is sent to the carrying roller 17a.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes first conveying means (4) provided downstream of image forming means (1); second conveying means (5) provided downstream the first conveying means (4); first cutting means (2) provided downstream the second conveying means (5); and second cutting means (3) provided downstream the first cutting means (2). One of the first cutting means (2) and the second cutting means (3) cuts an upstream end of an image on the continuous sheet (7), the other cuts a downstream end of the same image. The second conveying means (5) is stopped during the cutting by the first cutting means (2) to form a loop of the continuous sheet (7), and then if the cutting is ended, the second conveying means (5) conveys the continuous sheet (7) at a higher conveyance speed than a conveyance speed by the first conveying means (2) to reduce the loop.
